The Society of Pediatric Emergency Medicine (SPEM) was established at the end of 2024 to advance and unify the efforts dedicated to improving emergency care for children across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Society envisions becoming a national and regional leader that promotes excellence in clinical practice, education, and research in pediatric emergency medicine.

Our vision is to ensure that every child in Saudi Arabia receives the highest quality emergency care, guided by compassion, professionalism, and evidence-based medicine.

Our mission is to empower healthcare professionals, enhance the quality of pediatric emergency services, and foster collaboration among practitioners, institutions, and communities. Through education, research, and advocacy, we strive to build a safer and more efficient emergency care system for children.

Our goals include advancing professional development through continuous education and training, promoting scientific research and innovation, increasing community awareness about pediatric emergencies, and building strong partnerships with national and international organizations in the field.

SPEM proudly opens its doors to all individuals who care for children, from physicians, nurses, and paramedics to medical students and allied health professionals. Moreover, we warmly welcome non-healthcare members such as parents, mothers, teachers, and caregivers who play a vital role in children’s safety and wellbeing.

The Society addresses their needs through educational activities, awareness programs, and community initiatives aimed at promoting child health and emergency preparedness.
